June 29th was a beautiful day for a PAYCHECK bass tournament on the Upper Chesapeake Bay…finally! The skies were blue and there was not much wind to speak of.
17 teams signed up for this Pro Tour event, all with their eyes on the top prize.
The Pro Tour has a 1-in-7 payback with the first 2 teams out of the money getting a check thanks to the Option Pot.
Clyde Brown and Corey Ellis landed in 4th place and received the final check with a weight of 19.77 pounds. They took home $180, 45% of the Option Pot.
Chris Price and Jeff Seemans from the Eastern Shore weighed 20.74 pounds to finish in 3rd place, earning plaques and $220 which was 55% of the Option Pot.
Jack Rinkers and Jim Steiner teamed up to claim second place today. Their total weight was 21.20 pounds. They were awarded plaques and $1340.
Today’s winners made it a clean sweep as they not only won the tournament but also had big bass. Mike Sentore and Eric Danner’s lunker weighed 6.17 pounds and anchored their limit of 21.44 pounds. Including lunker they were presented $2880 and 3 plaques.
The next PAYCHECK Pro Tour launches from Tydings Park on July 27th.
