A chilly morning greeted the 18 teams that participated in the PAYCHECK Fall/Winter Open Series out of Anchor Marina on November 16, 2014. Our friends at Brandywine held their Last Chance Open the same day and lots of guys crossed over and fished both tournaments as both organizations used the same scale.
Jim McMullen and Zack Dunham landed the big bass of the tournament thjat weighed 6.74 pounds. That bass earned them a total of $320 including Double Up cash
Chris Huffman and Jim Urbanski finished in 4th place with a limit weighing 16.09 pounds. They won $150.
The third place team of Mike Sentore and Sean McKee also had 16.09 pounds, but their overall big bass was heavier breaking the tie. They were awarded $260 and also won the Brandywine Open with that weight.
Finishing in second place for the third tournament in a row were Duane Essick and Jay Pirollo. Their weight was 17.28 pounds anchored by a 5.55 beauty. They pocketed $450 in winnings.
Winners today with 17.87 pounds were Mike Morris and Ed Lozzi. They had a solid limit of
3 ½-3 ¾ pound largemouth which was huge on a day like this. They took home $930 including Option pot.
The next Fall Winter Open is on Conowingo Saturday, November 22 out of Glen Cove Marina.
After that, we move to the Potomac out of Marshall Hall on November 29th.
The next Upper Bay tournament is on December 6 out of Tydings Park.
