31 teams participated in the 5th PAYCHECK/Premier tournament on August 9th out of Anchor Marina. The tournament was moved due to the Seafood Festival at tidings park in Havre de Grace.
It was a beautiful day on the Upper Chesapeake Bay but the fishing appeared to be a little slow . Still, these are some of the top teams in the area. 12 teams were able to catch a limit with 87 bass caught, all of which were released alive!
Mike Sentore’s name can always be found near the top of any tournament results and today was no different as he won $200 thanks to a limit that weighed 18.23 pounds.
LaMont Vernon and Barry Moore finished 6th today with 18.49 pounds, good for $250. They had some nice largemouth.
Clyde Brown and Corey Ellis were our 5th place team today weighing 5 for 18.73 pounds. They received $320 for their efforts.
Keith Cowan and Zach Cowan have been consistent check winners the past couple of years and that trend continued as they put a limit on the scale that weighed 18.79 pounds earning them $400 for 4th place.
Also having a consistent season is the husband/wife team of Dave and Claire Anderson. They had another big day with 5 bass that weighed 19.16 pounds, good for 3rd place. They received 2 polaques and $610.
Dave Wilder and Johnny Duarte teamed up again to win $1040 for second place. They weighed 19.63 and also took home 2 nice plaques.
Today’s champions were Ken Wood, Jr and Willie Barrett with 20.67 pounds. They collected plaques and a total of $1840 in prize money. Congratulations!
John Valdez and Nate Cowan weighed the big bass of the tournament today, a 5.44 pound largemouth. In addition to a plaque and $310, they also won a $200 gift card to Rhino Linings of Delaware!
