The first PAYCHECK Pro Tour event as held at Tydings Park in Havre de Grace on May 27th with 15 teams participating. 13 of the 1ams entered the Option Pot, which pays the first 2 teams out of the money in the Pro Tour circuit.
Brothers Mike Saganich and Ray Saganich teamed up to finish 4th carrying 18.56 pounds of largemouth to the scales earning them $145 which was 45% of the Option Pot.
Jerry Ashby and Paul Brown only had 4 fish but 2 of them were in the pound class helping them to a19.13 pound weight…a great number for just 4 bass. A fat 6.89 largemouth gave them the big bass of the tournament. They took home 3 plaques and $330 in cash.
Rich McCrone and Rich McCrone, Jr had never launched from Tydings Park until this weekend. It didn’t take them long to get their bearings as the limited out with 5 bass weighing 19.83 pounds putting them in second place. They were awarded plaques and $1180 in prize money.
JT Lang and Andrew Wiley finished just ahead of Rich and Rich with a total weight of 19.94 pounds for a narrow margin of victory. They were presented plaques and $2400 in prize money.
$198.75 went into the Top Gun Bounty which will be awarded to the team with the 4 best finishes at the end of the year.
The next PAYCHECK Pro Tour event is June 29 at Anchor Marina in North East.
